Archaeologists worried future travelers to the moon may not have access to a ‘Sbarro Pizza’ at site of first footsteps.
MOON—Though the average traveler may not be heading to the moon anytime soon, historians and archaeologists have voiced their concern over future visitors to the site of Neil Armstrong’s first footsteps. Dr. Kenneth Pink, a professor of anthropology at the University of Phoenix’s online division, lamented that the moon’s first tourists may not have access to a Sbarro Pizza.
“It’s something that America’s caliber of tourist is used to and, frankly, expects,” he told us in a private interview. Though most of the ingredients used by Sbarro are synthetic, anyway, he worries that the pizza will simply “not have the kind of shelf life associated with a tourist destination 250,000 miles away.” Still, Dr. Pink remains optimistic about the selection of food visitors will be welcomed with on their first visit. “The least we can hope for is a limited menu Burger King.”
