Study: Majority of Chinese still in China
CHINA—A recent study undertaken by a group of unremarkable university students has found that the majority of Chinese citizens still live in China. “We know it’s not an exciting discovery, but we were looking for a minimal amount of actual work,” one of the students told us while she applied to change her major to art history. The study concluded that there were several factors keeping the Chinese in China, most notably the country’s population of Chinese. Others included China’s large land mass, booming economy, and the lack of a ideal location to move 51% of the country’s billion+ residents.
“There’s just nowhere else to go with them that’s not somewhere humans can’t live,” the students’ professor, who wishes to remain anonymous for fear that showing interest in such a fruitless study would sack his otherwise prestigious career, divulged in an interview. The students, however, noted that some Chinese are not in China. “My pa got me a $5 bottle of cologne in Chinatown when he was in New York on business,” the students’ self-assigned group leader, Chaz, mentioned. “So, they are leaving sometimes.” Chaz later revealed that the cologne was actually just cleverly dyed rubbing alcohol.
